TUESDAY DROP-IN SHORT POSE LIFE DRAWING @ The Dulwich Art Group & School
Feb 18 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Untutored but advice is always available.

There are options to come for just 1 hour (£5) and 2 hours (£10) and 3 hours (£15). Just turn up and pay at the door.

For all abilities.

When life drawing, short poses are excellent for training the eye and the hand and building the ability to sum up the essence of the figure with economy. Each hour will start with short poses and work up to two or three ten minute poses.

This is a familiar format for life drawing sessions which most of us find very satisfactory.

Whilst the session runs for three hours it is possible to attend one, two or three hours, as works for you. Joining or leaving the group happens promptly on the hour.

Our studio is a good size and well equipped with professional lighting. We have easels, drawing boards clips and so on and paper to buy at below high street prices, eg. A1 110gsm cartridge 20p per sheet. We have charcoal stubs available and new sticks cost 50p.

WEDNESDAY DROP-IN PORTRAITURE @ The Dulwich Art Group & School
Feb 19 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

This is a clothed portrait session with limited numbers so that you can work closer to the model and get a good angle on the head.

We’ll break for tea and cake (£1) around 3.30pm when we also collect fees. Easels, chairs, boards, clips and sundries provided but bring your own painting kit. If you need paint or brushes we sell studio quality materials at a reasonable price, or we’ll squeeze out some paint if it’s an emergency.

We ask that you are responsible for the disposal of your own solvents, so please bring a brush washer or jam jar with you and leave with it. Odourless solvents are preferred.

As we want to keep the model to artist ratio acceptable so by registering for the first session, we will always assume that you have signed up for the next two sessions.

This is a ‘drop-in’ so there is no obligation to commit or return if it’s not convenient, just turn up when it suits you. The groups run throughout the year other than Christmas, New Year and Easter weekends.
