Simon – founder
After fooling around in digital image making for half a life time Simon fell back in love with analogue media. He runs the Dulwich Art Group and paints pictures of people places and things. He also supports others on their creative journey as a tutor and demonstrator.
Berenice
Berenice is a documentary photographer who runs our social media and website, managing as well the studio and workshops. Along with pursuing her own creative projects she also happens to be an excellent life model.
TUTORS
Freya Tate
Freya is an artist and musician who teaches drawing for us. She is a true creative who brings her playful nature to her expressive image making and left field music production. Her approach with students is very liberating as she helps them to plug into their creativity.
Audrey Fattouche
Audrey is a full-time practising artist with a passion for drawing. She believes that improving one’s drawing technique is the key to self-expression and seeks to help her students develop their observational skills in order to produce more dynamic, powerful work.
Alex Fowler
Before becoming intoxicated with the act of painting Alex studied Art History in Edinburgh, which informs his painting and teaching. He trained as a painter at Heatherley’s School of Fine Art. His painting is about the act of perception: how it feels to see.
Mark Chen
Mark Chen is a figurative artist and highly experienced teacher based between Taipei and London. Classically trained in Taiwan and London, with further study at the Repin Academy in St Petersburg, he brings a deep knowledge of drawing, anatomy, composition and painting from life to his teaching.
David Sawyer
David is a much celebrated landscape artist with a no-nonsense approach who fills his work with lyrical marks describing landscape and architecture. His work is in collections around the world and he has worked as official Royal Artist .
